Disclosures

I write publicly about a field I also work in. This page states the relationships that could reasonably bear on what I publish, so that a reader, or an editor deciding whether to quote me, does not have to go looking.

Advisory panel

I serve on the CISO Advisory Program at 7AI, a quarterly panel of security executives advising an agentic security company on product direction and category development. I write about that category regularly, including its effect on security operations and on the entry tier of the profession. The seat is unpaid and carries no equity or other economic interest, and 7AI has no review over anything I publish. Where a piece bears directly on the category, the disclosure appears in the piece itself, not only here.

What I do not use

Nothing non-public appears in what I publish, not from the advisory seat, and not from any operating role I hold or have held. Where a subject cannot be written about without drawing on something non-public, I do not write about it.

Recusal

I do not write about any transaction between 7AI, or any company I advise, and an institution I work for or have worked for.

No one reviews, approves, or pays for what appears here. The views are my own and do not represent those of any employer, past or present.
